EVE
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. Genesis 3:20
I’m every woman, my name is EVE!
Eve the first woman to ever walk the Earth. Eve the first mother. Eve the first wife. Eve the lady we sometimes want to fuss with for eating that fruit in the garden that day. Eve. She’s definitely every woman, she was the first to do some amazing things as a woman and she lived, well that’s still up for debate as to how long she lived on Earth.
Eve – the mother of all living
As I studied this phenomenal woman, I realized as women we can relate to Eve in so many ways besides just being a woman. I know we blame her for pain in childbirth and sin, but we should also learn very valuable lessons from Eve as well.
Ladies, yielding to temptation…let’s not do it. She gave us the very first insight on what can happen if we yield to temptation and fall. She also showed those of us who desire marriage or who are married if we decide to take the lead and not allow our spouses to guide us or consult them we can turn some things upside down. You see God created families with Him at the head and then Husband and Wife to follow. Eve took the lead and opened the world up to so much pain and suffering, but in this pain and suffering we are able to learn valuable lessons and adapt to life as we know it.
Eve was the first wife, mother, first woman to mourn the death of her child, the first woman to disobey God’s word, but what can we learn from all of this. Allow yourself mistakes, allow yourself a chance to feel and heal and in the process of it all, don’t forget to allow God to lead you because the moment you disobey His word is the moment destruction can come.
